"Congressional Agenda Update: Legislative Issues and Changes" Seminar
This memorandum and attached flyer announces the next seminar in the Fiscal Year 2001 Senior Executive Development Series, on "Congressional Agenda Update: Legislative Issues and Changes." The Attorney General is sponsoring these seminars through the Special Projects Fund. This series provides all Department of Justice Senior Executive Service (SES) members, senior managers, and supervisors at GS-14 and above, an excellent opportunity to learn the latest management thinking that will lead us into the future. Please distribute this memo and the attached information on the fourth seminar in the Series, to all your SES members, managers and supervisors at GS-14 and above.
There is no cost for attending the seminar. The deadline for registration is usually two weeks prior to the scheduled seminar date. Executives, senior managers and supervisors, who meet the eligibility criteria, of GS-14 and above, may register via e-mail with alejandro.m.bartning@usdoj.gov or by calling (202) 616-3619. The seminars will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis to the specified number of registrants. All confirmed participants will be notified when they are registered to attend.
This no-cost session is offered Department-wide to Senior Executive Service(SES) members, senior managers & supervisors. It is scheduled on Wednesday, March 28, 2001, in National Place Building, Room 1160.
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with Sheryl L. Walter, Office of Legislative Affairs, and
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon with Ken Gold and John Haskell, Government Affairs Institute, Georgetown University
Topics: Keynote on Legislative and Department of Justice Issues; followed by Congressional and Executive Relations; and legislative changes.
This Executive Development Series seminar focuses on building and enhancing leadership competencies in political savvy and strategic thinking.
