MEMORANDUM FOR HEADS OF DEPARTMENT COMPONENTS

The FY 2003 Appropriations Act of Public Law 108-7 directs the Department of Justice to reimburse eligible employees for the cost of up to one-half the cost of professional liability insurance (not to exceed $115). Effective the beginning of FY 2003, all components must permit these reimbursements. Eligible employees for PLI reimbursement include law enforcement officers, attorneys, supervisors, and managers.
