Washington, D.C. 20530 November 16, 2005 MEMORANDUM FOR BUREAU HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICERS FROM: Debra M. TomchekDirector, Human Resources SUBJECT: Assessment of Awards Administration Policy On December 10, 2003, Dr. Paul R. Corts, Assistant Attorney General for Administration, announced the awards administration policy for the Department of Justice (DOJ). We are coming to the close of the first year of our awards administration policy. The policy was designed in response to the President's Management Agenda which mandates that all agencies be more focused on achieving strategic goals and aligning their performance and awards systems accordingly. We value your opinions and are asking for your feedback to afford us the opportunity to enhance the policy so that we can be an even stronger DOJ. We need to hear about your experiences. Please provide me your responses to the following questions no later than Wednesday, December 7, 2005.
Your responses will assist us as we modify our awards policy to ensure the proper linkage to the strategically aligned, results oriented performance management system. Thank you for your participation in implementing these human capital reforms. For additional information or assistance, please contact Sheila D. Marshall, of the Personnel Staff's Workforce Effectiveness Group, on (202) 514-1598 or by electronic mail at sheila.d.marshall@usdoj.gov. |
