MEMORANDUM TO ALL EMPLOYEES
                   OFFICES, BOARDS, AND JUSTICE MANAGEMENT DIVISION

FROM:        Ana A. Mazzi
                     Acting Director, Personnel Staff

SUBJECT:     Avue Digital System Recruitment Module

As technology progresses, we are committed to finding ways to streamline processes and reduce manual methods of performing job tasks, while continuing to provide a high level of service to our employees. With this goal in mind, the Department of Justice, Justice Management Division (JMD), has made an agreement with Avue Technologies to automate the recruitment and hiring process through use of the Avue Digital System (ADS).

The ADS is an automated recruitment module that provides for intake, rating and ranking and referral of applicants. The system may be used by human resource specialists and managers to recruit for and employees to apply for job vacancies within JMD. The benefits of this new system are:

For Employees:

  • Ability to access the system 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to apply for positions and to check the status of vacancies for which you have applied;
  • Ability to electronically submit resume or employment application;
  • Ability to create and store online profile/application for future use;
  • Ability to receive system generated e-mail notification of the status of vacancies you have applied for (e.g., extensions of vacancy announcement closing dates, receipt of application, selections made, etc.);
  • Interview tips.

For Managers:

  • Online review of vacancy announcement and associated position descriptions
  • Electronic notification of availability of referral lists;
  • Online review of candidates and referral lists;
  • Online review of applications referred for an interview (e.g., work history, resume, applicant questionnaire responses, etc.);
  • Online tracking of interview process (e.g., date candidates contacted, date candidates interviewed, date candidate withdrew from process, date position offered to a candidate, date candidate accepted offer, etc.)
