The media processing charge includes all costs incurred by the Government to generate customer selected items on media. The cost for each piece of media, described below, is established by USGS policy. Based upon this pricing policy and in an effort to recover full costs of generating the products, the Government has put in place distribution policies that define the number and mix of items that may be written to a single media.

Notes:
Only frames ordered from the same Film Size, Micron Size, and/or Image Type (B/W and Color/CIR) will be produced on the same media.
For example, if a 9 x 9 inch B/W and a 9 x 9 inch CIR are submitted on the same order for CD delivery, two CDs will be produced and delivered. A total of $143.00 will be charged [$48.00 ($24.00 x 2 frames/scanning fee) + $90.00 ($45.00 x 2 CDs/media processing fee) + $5.00 handling fee/order]
In cases where the film source size does not equal the Film Sizes listed above, the stacking limits will be based on the Film Size one greater than the film source.
For example, if the film source size ordered is 6 x 8 inch, the stacking limits will be based on the 9 x 9 inch Film Size.
- Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) 7 and 14 day composites - $1.00 per composite
