What Items May I Check Out?
Videos and educational trunks are the main items available for check out. Curriculum Guides can be checked out on a limited basis.

Because this is a resource library, other items (books, magazines, etc) may be used for reference on site and during Resource Center hours. Please call for an appointment. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service employees may check out reference materials on a limited basis.

We have posted our complete list of educational videos and safety videos in .pdf format that are available to the public. We have also posted our video catalog that is for use by FWS employees only.

How Do I Request Material?
Please submit an email, fax or written request to the Resource Center. Telephone requests will be accepted but please use other means if possible. Please include your name, organization, address and phone number. Be sure to specify the title and video/film number, and the dates on which they are needed.

Some materials are quite popular and it is possible that they may not be available on the dates that you request. Your reservations are more likely to be filled if you reserve at least one month in advance. We will do our best, but we cannot guarantee, that last minute requests will be filled.

Check Out Period
Materials may be checked out for a one week period. Videos are shipped out one week in advance of your date of use, allows you one week for use, and one week to return the material. The due date will be indicated on the shipping report.

Return Procedures
Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the user. The best way to return materials is to mail using standard shipping or Priority Mail. Other forms of shipping may be used as long as materials are returned in good condition by the indicated due date. Materials may also be dropped off during Resource Center hours.

PLEASE complete the survey information on the shipping form and return this form with the material. An extension on the due date is possible, if the material has not already been requested during that time period.

Overdue Items
Users will receive an overdue notice for late materials. Non-U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service employees will be invoiced/charged for the value of any item, if they fail to respond to an overdue notice. Continual overdues may result in the loss of borrowing privileges. Please remember to return items on time so that other users will not be compromised.

Duplication of Materials and Admission Charges
Materials are covered under U.S. copyright law. An admission fee may not be charged for showing videos and/or films.
