This notice is an addendum to RFA-HS-01-002, titled “Centers of Excellence 
for Patient Safety Research and Practice” which was released in the NIH Guide 
for Grants and Contracts on October 24, 2000.  AHRQ plans to convene a 
special technical assistance workshop for potential applicants.  The purpose 
of this workshop is to give background information and respond to questions 
about the preparation of an application in response to this RFA.  The 
workshop will be held at 6010 Executive Boulevard, 4th Floor, Rockville, MD 
on December 13, 2000 between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.  Attendance is not a 
prerequisite to applying, and attendees must pay for their own travel and 
accommodation costs.  This workshop will be open to any individual or 
organization interested in applying to this RFA.
