Unique Women's Health-Focused Programs or Efforts in Oklahoma

Projects, Products, and Tools for Practice

Definition/Purpose: To increase the knowledge of Oklahomans and particularly women that heart disease is the leading cause of death and disease among women.

Product/Tools: NHLBI's Toolkit on Heart's Truth

Definition/Purpose: To increase the knowledge of Oklahoma women as to preventive practices. During Women's Health Week distributed 7,200 prescriptions to various organizations across the state, to health departments and to interested women's groups.
