The Earth is full of water, and, by far, the vast majority of all water on Earth is in the oceans. It is estimated that of the 332,500,000 cubic miles (mi3) (1,386,000,000 cubic kilometers (km3)) of the world's water supply, about 321,000,000 mi3 (1,338,000,000 km3) is stored in oceans. That is about 96.5 percent. But, just becuase most of Earth's water is salty does not mean that people cannot use it.
