Draw Baits and Attracters

Large draw baits, such as a carcass of a deer, cow, sheep, etc. will work to bring animals into your trapping area. Such furbearers as canines, cats, and badgers readily feed on these baits until they are used up. By North Dakota law traps can not be placed within 25 ft. of any exposed bait that weighs more than 1 lb. to avoid catching non-target species particularly predatory birds.

Manufactured lures and baits are available for use at the set to draw the animals into your traps as they come to feed on the big baits.
