Clinical Trials Update: July 21, 2008

(HealthDay News) -- Here are the latest clinical trials, courtesy of CenterWatch:

COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)

If you are 40 or older and a current or former smoker, you may be eligible for this study. Participants will receive study medication, lung function tests, EKG's, laboratory tests, and study related physical exams at no cost.

Tourette's Syndrome

If your child is aged of 6-17, has been diagnosed with Tourette's, is otherwise in good physical health, and weighs at least 44 pounds, the child may be eligible for this study. Sexually active females of childbearing potential must use a medically acceptable form of birth control.

The research site is in New York City.

Healthy Patient Studies

If you are a healthy male aged 18 to 45 OR a healthy postmenopausal female aged 45 to 75, you may qualify for this study. Participants also must be non-smokers and able to stay at the study clinic for two nights and three days on two occasions.

The research site is in Daytona Beach, Fla.
