It is anticipated that 1 contract award will be made under this solicitation for a 3-year period of performance with 2 one-year option periods.
Summary
The purpose of this RFP is to request proposals to provide technical assistance for State Medicaid agencies and State Children's Health Insurance Programs (SCHIP) implementing health information technology (health IT) and/or participating in health information exchange (HIE) and coordinate these efforts with other health IT projects at AHRQ and potentially other government agencies such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
This Technical Assistance (TA) will support AHRQ's work with State Medicaid agencies by providing them with assistance in the areas of evaluating, implementing and assessing the value of health IT and HIE, and developing tools needed for effective communication, collaboration, information sharing, and knowledge management for State Medicaid agencies. TA will also include development and maintenance of a Medicaid specific section of the already existing AHRQ National Resource Center for Health IT (NRC) Web site.
