Eastern Brook Trout Joint Venture |
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Fish and Wildlife Management Assistance Program is an active participant in the Eastern Brook Trout Joint Venture (EBTJV), a model regional-scale partnership focused on species conservation and restoration through proper habitat management, as envisioned under the National Fish Habitat Initiative. The EBTJV is a geographically focused, locally driven, and scientifically based effort to protect, restore and enhance aquatic habitat throughout the range of the Eastern brook trout (from Maine to Georgia). Formed in 2004, the effort includes 18 states, 4 federal agencies, and universities, non-governmental organizations and industry.
