Being diagnosed with a disease or serious condition can come as shock. In this video Web program, you can hear what experts have to say about coming to grips with whatever ails you—from becoming well informed and seeking support to deciding on a treatment plan.

Based on Next Steps After Your Diagnosis from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), this video was produced with Healthology.

The video Web program features information from AHRQ to help patients who have been diagnosed with an illness to learn more about their condition and treatment options.  In addition to helping patients not only find information and resources, various physical and emotional aspects of a diagnosis are addressed. 

Important questions are given that patients should ask their doctor when they receive a diagnosis, as well as:

  • Information to help them understand their disease or condition.
  • How it might be treated.
  • What they need to know before making treatment decisions.
