It is anticipated that a five-year, cost plus award fee, completion-type
contract will be awarded under this solicitation.
Background
AHRQ is seeking proposals for the AHRQ Publications Clearinghouse. The
Clearinghouse stores and disbributes all agency publications and exhibits, and
maintains and manages the AHRQ automated mailing list and keys. The
Clearinghouse also manages and maintains a cost-recovery system for certain
publications. The services to be provided under the contract will help to ensure
the timely dissemination of AHRQ publications to the public. The types of
services required are:
- Provide and maintain staff, facilities, and equipment for all
clearinghouse operations.
- Maintain and utilize automated mailing/inventory control system developed
by AHRQ.
- Maintain and update mailing lists.
- Respond to telephone, TDD hearing impaired, mail and facsimile and
electronic inquires for publications.
- Perform direct mailings.
- Operate a cost recovery system for publications offered for sale by the
Agency.
- Provide AHRQ exhibit services.
- Provide publication storage, distribution and inventory control.
- Provide courier service related to the clearinghouse.
It is mandatory that the facility the contractor proposes for the
clearinghouse be within the Washington, DC, metropolitan dialing area and within
1.5 hours commuting time to provide for consultation and coordination in all
matters related to the operation of the clearinghouse.
