National Guideline Clearinghouse™ http://www.guideline.gov A comprehensive database of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and related documents useful for practice, research evaluation and interventions, and education programs.
National Quality Measures Clearinghouse™ http://www.qualitymeasures.ahrq.gov A public repository for evidence-based quality measures and measure sets. Developing a new tool or variable can be much more efficient by using existing measures.
QualityTools http://www.qualitytools.ahrq.gov A clearinghouse of practical tools for measuring and improving the quality of health care. Ready-made tools make for efficient research implementation.
AHRQ Web M&M Rounds http://www.webmm.ahrq.gov An online journal and forum on patient safety and health care quality. Features expert analysis of medical errors, interactive learning modules, and forums for online discussion with pertinent application to nursing practice and education programs.
Public Health Preparedness http://www.ahrq.gov/prep/ Public health preparedness is a priority for all clinicians, including nurses. Research, tools, and resources are provided for bioterrorism planning and response.
AHRQ Datasets and Surveys http://www.ahrq.gov/data/ Several large datasets are available for research, including Internet-based reporting tools and electronic subscription lists for updates. Existing datasets are helpful for obtaining preliminary data before initiating a study and for teaching students and practicing data analysis strategies.
Medical Expenditures Panel Survey (MEPS) http://www.meps.ahrq.gov An annual survey of use of specific health services, including cost and insurance data, with  four components: household, nursing home, medical provider, and insurance.
Consumer Assessment of Health Plans (CAHPS®) http://www.ahrq.govhttp://www.cahps.ahrq.gov/ This project will measure and publicly report patients' hospital experience, valuable for benchmarking and as a teaching tool.
Healthcare Cost & Utilization Project (HCUP) http://www.ahrq.gov/data/hcup/ A family of health care databases merging data from State organizations, hospital associations, private data organizations, and the Federal government and representing the largest collection of longitudinal hospital care data in the United States. Four databases are available: nationwide inpatient, State inpatient, State ambulatory surgery, and kid's inpatient.
