The NASA SEWP (Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement)
GWAC (Government-Wide Acquisition Contract) provides the latest in Information Technology (IT)
products for all Federal Agencies. The statutory authority allowing usage
of the SEWP contracts by the entire Federal Government is NASA's designation
as an Executive Agent by OMB based on the Information Technology Management
Reform Act (ITMRA) of 1996, now the Clinger Cohen Act. For more information

Bracing for Year-end Buying Spree
For the next month, NASA procurement staffers will be working overtime, taking phone calls and placing orders for information technology available to customer agencies throughout government on a NASA contract. The orders are expected to come in fast and furious as the clock ticks down to the end of the fiscal year and the expiration of billions of dollars in appropriated government funds.

NASA's SEWP IV Leads
in 2007 Sales
In the tight competition that exists among agencies that manage government-wide acquisition contracts, there's a new leader: NASA. The space agency manages the most popular government-wide acquisition contract, or GWAC. Its Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement IV (SEWP IV) contract generated $849 million in sales in 2007 - more than any other GWAC, according to government data analyzed by market research firm FedSources Inc. of McLean.
