The Workforce ADL Co-Laboratory, established in 2003 in Memphis, Tennessee, is under the Direction of Dr. Xiangen Hu.

The Workforce ADL Co-Lab is affiliated with the University of Memphis. It focuses on helping business and industry adapt ADL technologies into their worker training and development programs.

Mission

The goal of the Workforce ADL Co-Lab is to facilitate the development and integration of ADL technologies in industry to enhance the learning and training possibilities for the workforce of the future. Through its research on learning technologies, intelligent tutoring systems and development of system architectures, and its outreach activities and events, the Workforce Co-Lab provides the education, technical training and accessibility to solutions that will enable the nation’s diverse industries to create scalable, sustainable training infrastructures for their workers’ continued education and skill development.

		Xiangen Hu, Director As Director of the Workforce ADL Co-Lab, Dr. Xiangen Hu is responsible for theoretical and technical issues related to the implementation and sharing of learning technology research with a specific focus on Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS) and implementation of ITS principles within ADL.
