About
The Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Technology Center,
established in 2003 and located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, is under the direction
of Kirk Johnson.

Mission
With ADL Leadership support, the ADL Technical Team strives to enable ADL's Vision
of providing access to the highest quality education and training, tailored to individual
needs, delivered cost-effectively anywhere and anytime. The ADL Technical Team contributes
to the ongoing development and maintenance of ADL Technologies including the SCORM.
By participating in international specification and standards producing bodies the
ADL Technical Team advances industry-wide solutions to meet ADL's functional requirements
of accessibility, adaptability, affordability, durability, interoperability and
reusability of learning content and systems.
