Submitting Unsolicited Proposals to DHS

To begin the contracting process, follow these steps:

1. Register for DUNS Number: To register on Central Contractor Registry, you will need to have a DUNS Number
   
   
2. You must register your company to become eligible for contracting opportunities by clicking on the Contract Registration button in the upper right-hand corner, under step 2 . This step registers your company through the Central Contract Registration (CCR), operated by the General Services Administration, and is required to receive federal contracts.
    
3. Sign up for email alerts of new tenders related to your areas of interest by clicking on the Contract Alerts button in the right-hand column, under step 3. This step registers your company through FedBizOpps, operated by General Services Administration, which allows you to be notified when contracts become available and provides the necessary contact information to apply for particular contracts.

4. To determine your North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code, please visit www.census.gov
    
5. To determine if you business is classified as a Small Business, please visit www.sba.gov
