Overseas Schools Advisory Council Meeting Wednesday, June 21, 2006

The Overseas Schools Advisory Council of the Department of State will hold its Annual Meeting on Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at 9:30 a.m. in Conference Room 1205. The meeting will last until approximately 1:00 p.m. and is open to the public. The agenda includes a review of the recent activities of American-sponsored overseas schools and the overseas schools regional associations, a review of projects selected for the 2004, 2005, and 2006 Educational Assistance Programs, which are under development. In addition the agenda includes presentations on the Department of State’s Allowances System, admissions requirements to universities in foreign countries, and acceptance of Advanced Placement courses by universities in foreign countries. Public access to the Department of State is strictly controlled and space is limited. Members of the public who would like to attend the meeting should telephone Dr. Keith Miller, Director of the Office of Overseas Schools at (202) 261-8200 by June 11, 2006, to make arrangements to enter the building. The public may take part in the discussion as long as time permits and at the discretion of the chairman.
