    Urban Wildlife

Urban development has created an artificial environment in the desert that is attracting various wildlife. Landscaping with grass, shrubs, trees, pools, and ponds have provided water, food, and shelter for many wildlife species. Many of these species are attracting unwanted predators such as skunks and coyotes. Please visit our Urban Wildlife section if you would like more information on urban wildlife or contact the Nevada Department of Wildlife.
