Boating - Colorado River (Loma - Westwater), Gunnison River (Escalante Canyon - Redlands Dam), Dolores River (Gateway - Dewey Bridge)

Camping - Big Dominguez Campground, Miracle Rock, Mud Springs.  Camping outside designated areas.

Hiking - Big Dominguez Creek, Cactus Park,  Little Bookcliffs Wild Horse Area, Mt. Garfield.

Little Bookcliffs Wild Horse Area5  miles northeast of Grand Junction.  Wild horse herd of approximately 80 - 120.  36,113 acres of rugged canyons and plateaus.  

Mountain Biking - North Fruita Desert, Cactus Park, Gunnison Bluffs/Old Spanish Trail, Gunny Loop, Ribbon Loop, Tabequache Trail, Grand Valley Off-Highway Vehicle Area.  Biking on other than Designated Trails.

 

Off-Highway Vehicles - Bangs Canyon, Grand Valley Off-Highway Vehicle Area, other than designated areas.

Rock Hounding - Rock hounding, fossil collecting, dredging and sluicing.

Wildlife Viewing - Antelope, birds and raptors, big horn sheep, deer, elk and bear.  Wildlife viewing tips.
