There are sometimes overwhelming amounts of health information available to your patients. Credibility and quality of information can be a problem, whether information comes from a web site, a popular magazine, a newspaper, a radio or TV program, a friend or other source. Now you can give your patients reliable, accurate sources of health information! The following resources are developed from current research and recommendations from the federal government and health professional organizations. Share with your patients:

Web Sites

  1. Federal resource Womenshealth.gov — Womenshealth.gov offers reliable and current women's health information through our specialty sections on common women's health concerns, and our publication and organization index covering more than 800 health topics. All of this information is available through our call center as well. The toll-free service is available Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm eastern time, at 800-994-9662 or 888-220-5446 (TDD). Womenshealth.gov also serves as the National Breastfeeding Helpline, providing trained breastfeeding peer counselors at these same toll-free numbers. You can also find interactive tools on the web site, as well.
