The Geochemical Landscapes project has been divided into twelve tasks, each of which uniquely contribute to the goals and the strategy.

Task 2	Soil geochemistry and microbial characteristics on cultivated/irrigated versus non-cultivated/nonirrigated (grassland) sites in western Nebraska Task has been discontinued and replaced with Task 11 - Pilot Studies.
Task 3	Microbial and geochemical characterization of soils: Regional variation and effects of soil type, geologic setting, and agricultural practices in the Central Valley of California Task has been discontinued and replaced with Task 11 - Pilot Studies.
