Division of Solid Waste Notice: All Solid Waste facilities (Appeal Landfill, Appeal Transfer Station and all compactor sites) will be OPEN regular business hours on Election Day (Nov. 4th), Veterans Day (Nov. 11th) and the day after Thanksgiving (Nov. 28th). All Solid Waste facilities will be CLOSED Thanksgiving Day only (Nov. 27th).

Attention MD Property Owners: In 2008, MD homeowners are required to submit a one-time application to continue eligibility for the homestead tax credit. This credit limits the amount of assessment increase on which a homeowner will pay property taxes in that tax year on the owner’s principal residence.
