We're more than maps; just ask...

Maps and charts?
USGS produces topographic maps, topographic-bathymetric maps, Antarctic maps, photoimage maps, satellite image maps, geologic maps, hydrologic maps, land use maps, maps of the planets and moons, National Atlas maps, and special maps. In many cases, you can walk into the co-located interpretive association stores, find your maps, pay your money, and leave with your maps. If they don't stock your maps, we can tell you where to go to find them or pass on your order. We may direct you to one of the other Information Services offices across the United States or to one of the 3,000 or so authorized map dealers.

Digital cartographic data?
Yes, we have them. Much of the mapping information we have is being converted to digital form. If the digits are in our data bases, we can provide them to you.

Earth science books and reports?
Yes, we have them.   Many can be purchased from the interpretive association stores, ordered online through the USGS Store, or downloaded for free from the USGS Publications Warehouse.

Satellite images?
Yes, we have them. Many of them are located at our Center for Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) in South Dakota.

Earth science data bases?
Yes, we maintain several major information and retrieval data bases. Your question initiates our inquiry into the data bases for information you can use.
