USGS Information Services offices are known to many customers as the map stores. The well-known USGS topographic maps, which are also available from thousands of private dealers, can be purchased at non-profit interpretive association stores co-located with most of these offices. An arm of the USGS Geospatial Information Office, USGS Information Services offices are the primary source of public information on all the cartographic activities of the USGS as well as the earth science products of the Survey's Biologic, Geologic and Water Resources Disciplines.
