Abstract: Program provides funding through State Employment
Security Agencies to support dedicated staff positions to provide job
development, placement, and support services directly to qualified veterans.
The program ensures that there is local functional supervision of State
Employment Service/Job Service regarding compliance with Federally mandated
regulations designed to ensure that veterans receive the maximum assistance in
employment and training opportunities. Program provides outreach to veterans
through all community agencies and organizations.
Purpose: To
provide funding to support LVER positions in local service delivery offices.
The program is designed to ensure that veterans receive the maximum assistance
in employment and training opportunities.
Agency Program: The
LVER program provides dedicated staff to serve veterans, and provide functional
supervision regarding compliance with Federally mandated regulations.
