Abstract: The Department of Labor's news releases are statements prepared and distributed to the media and the public. They cover a wide range of labor-related subjects including: employment and training, employment standards, pensions, work place safety and health, child labor, labor statistics, women's issues, and other labor-related topics.

Purpose: Inform the public about Department of Labor activities. Inform the public of labor-related topics that affect their work and family lives.

Agency Program: Public Affairs is responsible for disseminating Department of Labor issues and program information to the public.
