Abstract: The Time Distribution software system is a database designed to track the amount of time attorneys and paralegals spend on providing legal services. Each attorney or paralegal enters his/her own time into the system. Time spent may be recorded by a specific case or workload item, by a specific program, or more generally.

Purpose: The Time Distribution (TD) software system was developed to provide the Office of the Solicitor a standardized method for capturing and tracking the time each attorney or paralegal spends on their various workload assignments. This system, when combined with the SOLAR system, provides a method for determining how SOL resources are used.
