Abstract: The
Case Tracking System is a docket database used for tracking cases assigned to
the Office of Administrative Law Judges for hearing and decision. The major
fields of the database are: case number, claimant's last name, claimant's first
name, respondent name, OWCP number (for black lung and longshore cases),
attorneys, and events related to the case. Events listed include matters such
as the date of issuance of orders and receipt of filings.
Purpose:
Administrative law judges from the United States Department of Labor's
Office of Administrative Law Judges preside over formal hearings concerning
many labor-related matters. The office's mission is to render fair and
equitable decisions under the governing law and the facts of each case. The
case tracking system is used to provide information for the management of cases
assigned to the Office of Administrative Law Judges for hearing and decision.
The CTS records the date filings are received and orders issued in cases.
