ABSTRACT: This system of records permits the USAOs and EOUSA to compile and maintain information on all Assistant United States Attorneys positions.
PURPOSE: This system was established and is maintained to provide an ongoing record of all Assistant United States Attorneys personnel information.
ACCESS CONSTRAINTS: The records are stored in file folders in cabinets in a locked room.
AGENCY PROGRAM: The USAOs are charged with the enforcement of United States law both civil and criminal in conjunction with the Department of Justice. It is necessary to maintain relevant personnel information on current and former personnel.
SOURCES OF DATA: The information contained in this system includes the applicants personnel records, including resumes, letters of recommendation, law school grade transcripts, completed civil service forms and other related personnel matters. Information is also obtained through background investigations and related matters, as well as Congressional and political recommendations for appointments, any protests to the appointment and any complaints brought against the individual.
