Child Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested
 
The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force LogoDel Rio, TX – The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested 21 year old Adrian Jesus Guia Jr. of Kerrville, Texas after his expulsion from the Republic of Mexico. Guia is charged by indictment in Kerrville, Texas for Sexual Assault of a Child.

Guia fled the Kerrville area before he was arrested and became a fugitive living in Coahuila, Mexico to avoid prosecution in this case. After learning that Guia may have fled to Mexico, the Kerrville Police Department requested assistance from the United States Marshals Service. Deputy United States Marshals developed information on Guia’s location through investigation and interviews. This locate information was provided to the Procuradaria General de Justicia del Estado and the Immigracion Nacional de Mexico. Mexican law enforcement located Guia with the information provided, determined the subject was in the Republic of Mexico in violation of Mexican immigration laws and was subsequently expelled to the U.S. at Del Rio, Texas.

Upon Guia’s expulsion from Mexico at the Del Rio Port of entry, he was arrested by Deputy United States Marshals and placed in the Val Verde County Jail where he is awaiting extradition back to Kerr County, Texas to face his charges.

The United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas LaFayette Collins said, “Fugitives continue to run to Mexico and our friends in Mexico continue to return the fugitives to us. Through the great work of the Mexican authorities and the Deputy Marshals assigned to the Mexican International Liaison program, we continue to develop and further this working relationship with our Mexican counterparts. This case highlights that great relationship.”
