U.S. Marshals Service River Valley Task Force Coordinates
Arrest of Rape Suspect
 
Fort Smith, AR - Darryl Gordon, 46, of Crawford County, Arkansas was taken into custody by agents with the Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) along with U.S. Naval Criminal Investigation Service (NCIS) about 1:30 a.m., Sunday, at the Naval Station in Norfolk, Virginia.

Gordon was being sought by members of the U.S. Marshal’s Service River Valley Fugitive Task Force in Fort Smith, Arkansas, for 10 counts of Sexual Assault 2nd Degree. Gordon was working as a civilian contractor for the military in the country of Bahrain when Crawford County issued the warrant. He was informed of the warrant by NCIS agents, and resigned shortly there after. Gordon then boarded a military plane bound for the United States and was officially taken into custody without incident upon arrival in Norfolk, Virginia where he remains awaiting extradition to Crawford County, Arkansas to face charges.

Annually, U.S. Marshals arrest more than 50 percent of all federal fugitives and serve more federal warrants than all other federal law enforcement agencies combined.
