Waco
– The United States Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive
Task Force (LSFTF) announces the arrest of 28 year old Rico Doyle.
Doyle was wanted by the Killeen Police Department for the murder of
Tyrone Haskins which occurred on 09/30/2007 in Killeen Texas. Doyle
has a violent criminal history including arrests for armed robbery,
weapons, and evading arrest and was considered to be armed and
dangerous.
After exhausting all leads in the central Texas area, new
information was developed that on 10/11/2007 Doyle fled the central
Texas area and was possibly headed to New Orleans, LA. where it was
believed he had relatives residing.
Based on this new information an investigative lead was sent to the
Crescent Star Fugitive Task Force in New Orleans and on 12/11/2007
Doyle was successfully located and apprehended without incident.
The United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas
LaFayette Collins said, “Fugitives have only two choices when being
pursued by the United States Marshals Service; either peacefully
surrender to law enforcement authorities or face a life of constant
fear, knowing no matter where you hide or how far you run, in the
end, you face justice.”
