Did You Know?

In 2007, 29% of self-identified American Indian/Alaska Native fourth-graders reported that they knew "a lot" about their tribe or group, and 52% reported that they only knew "some" about their tribe or group. Learn more about this finding, and explore other findings from the 2007 National Indian Education Study (NIES), a two-part study designed to describe the condition of education for American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) students in the United States.

New & Noteworthy

If your child has been selected for the NAEP assessment, you may be asking yourself a million questions: Will she miss class time? Does she have to study for the assessment? How might this help her get into the Ivy League? Or you may only have one question: What is NAEP anyway?

Fear not! An Introduction to NAEP (1123K PDF) will answer all of these questions and more. After reading this new brochure, the only question you will have about NAEP is how you could do on questions from the test!

Curious? Test yourself against real questions from recent NAEP assessments.
