Age data are available for 5,589 of the 5,659 BLS-estimated anxiety, stress, and neurotic disorder cases involving days away from work in 2001. Younger age groups accounted for the majority of cases. Workers aged 25-34 accounted for 1,426 or 25.5% of cases, and workers aged 35-44 accounted for 1,576 or 28.2% of cases.
