Burma - Tsunami Damage

Question:   Do you have an independent estimate of the tsunami's impact on Burma? Do you agree with the Government's figures?

Answer:   The junta claims the tsunami left 51 people dead, 45 injured, 70 missing, and 788 homeless. We are not in a position either to provide independent estimates or to confirm these figures.
