• Publication Date: 04/14/1987
• Publication Type: Proposed Rules
• Fed Register #: 52:12116-18
• Standard Number: 1910.268
• Title: Telecommunications
• Abstract: Revision of recordkeeping requirements contained in the training portion of the telecommunications standard to minimize paperwork burden and to clarify what information is required. This proposed rule would eliminate the requirement that the employer prepare a written description of the training program. The employer no longer is required to maintain a record of employees trained. The employer is now required to prepare a certification record to demonstrate compliance with the training requirements. The certification record would be prepared at the time the training is completed and would include the identity of the employee trained, the signature of the employer or the person conducting the training, and the date the training was completed. Written comments, objections and requests for a hearing must be postmarked by June 15, 1987.
