Although
you are not allowed to perform hazardous jobs, you may still need to wear personal
protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and goggles depending upon
your job. For example while performing some types of cleaning
jobs you may be exposed to
potential eye injuries, and you may be required to wear eye
protection.

Eye injuries occur often in the
workplace. Some tips about eye protection include:
- Safeguard your eyes; properly wear any PPE including eye protection
that is provided.
- Eye protection may be necessary if you are working in environments that are
hot, dusty, or if you are using chemicals.
- Employers must provide eye protection for you whenever
you are
exposed to potential eye injuries during your work, if work
practice or engineering controls do not eliminate the risk of
injury.
- Employers must also provide training to you if you are
