Cleveland, Ohio - “Getting It Right – Know
Your Fiduciary Responsibilities,” a compliance assistance seminar
sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security
Administration (EBSA), will take place in Eastlake, Ohio, November 2 at
the Radisson Hotel and Suites, Cleveland-Eastlake, 35000 Curtis Blvd.
The free seminar is part of a national fiduciary
education campaign to increase awareness and understanding about basic
fiduciary responsibilities associated with operating private-sector
retirement plans. The Ohio seminar is sponsored by the Labor Department in
partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management, National
Federation of Independent Business, American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis,
with only limited spaces available. Interested parties should register by

The department’s “Getting it Right-Know Your
Fiduciary Responsibilities” program will provide employers and plan
officials with an understanding of the law and their responsibilities and
will focus on steps for avoiding the most common problems encountered
under EBSA’s enforcement activities. The campaign also includes
education materials on topics such as understanding fees and selecting an
