THE OFFICE OF GOVERNMENT ETHICS (OGE)

What is OGE?
In 1978, OGE was established to provide oversight of ethics rules for Federal employees in the Executive Branch. Its mission is to promote the practice of high ethical standards of behavior for Federal employees.

OGE issues ethics regulations and opinions, manages the federal financial disclosure requirements, and provides guidance to Federal agencies in administering the Executive Branch ethics program.

OGE's website at http://www.usoge.gov/ is a detailed source of information about Government ethics.
