Secretary-General of the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development The United States congratulates Jose Angel Gurria on his selection this morning as the next Secretary-General of the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
Mr. Gurria’s selection comes at a crucial time for the Organization as it helps its members and others grapple with the challenging economic issues of the 21st century.
Mr. Gurria, the former Mexican Finance Minister, brings a progressive vision and firm leadership to the Organization. We look forward to working with him and all members to expand global economic growth and stability.
