Under Secretary Burns' Special Briefing on BosniaUnder Secretary of State Nicholas Burns will brief the press on a renewed U.S. commitment to the Balkans, focusing particularly on Bosnia and Herzegovina. On this 10th Anniversary of the Dayton Accords, Under Secretary Burns will highlight the achievements of the past decade since Dayton and U.S. efforts to bring Bosnia and Herzegovina closer to its future as a peaceful, prosperous, democratic nation that is fully integrated into Europe. This On-the-Record, On-Camera press briefing will take place on Monday, November 21, at 3:30 pm, in the Press Briefing Room, room 2209.
Media representatives may attend this briefing upon presentation of one of the following: (1) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver’s license or passport).
