Briefing on U.S. Response to the South Asia EarthquakeOn Wednesday, November 2 at 11:45 a.m., E. Anthony Wayne, Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs, Michael Hess, U.S. Agency for International Development’s Assistant Administrator of the Bureau for Democracy, Conflict and Humanitarian Assistance and Brigadier General Carter F. Ham, Deputy Director for Regional Operations, Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff/Operations will hold a press briefing to provide an update on the U.S. response to the South Asia earthquake.
This briefing will take place in the State Department’s Press Briefing Room (2209) and will be on-the-record and on camera.
Media representatives may attend this briefing upon presentation of one of the following: (1) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver’s license or passport).
