“The association will sponsor seminars, conferences and training sessions conducted by Wage and Hour Division staff who will discuss the provisions of the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act (MSPA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and other laws administered by the agency,” said Will Garnitz, director of Wage and Hour’s South Florida office. “In addition, the Wage and Hour Division will designate staff to expedite assistance requests from League members.”

The League has also agreed to disseminate compliance information and to encourage members to monitor farm labor contractor activities to help ensure that farm workers are properly paid, provided adequate housing, and transported to worksites in safe vehicles operated by licensed drivers.
