U.S. Labor Department, Florida State University and Florida United Business Association Sponsor Free Seminar on New Overtime Rules

Event to be held Wed., Feb. 16, in Tallahassee

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The U.S. Labor Department’s Wage and Hour Division will provide information on the new Overtime Security Rule during a free seminar Feb. 16 at the Florida State University campus in Tallahassee. The event, which is open to the public, is co-sponsored by the university, the Florida United Business Association and the Jacksonville Wage and Hour Division.

“The department has scheduled this compliance assistance session to ensure that workers understand their rights and employers know their responsibilities under the new rule,” said David Minsky, the Wage and Hour Division’s chief of staff, who will participate in the seminar.
