U.S. Department of Labor and Mexican Consulate in Dallas renew partnership to protect workers in north TexasDALLAS -- The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division, the Mexican Consulate in Dallas and other community, faith-based and governmental organizations will continue to work together to promote the Justice, Safety and Equality in the Workplace Program in north Texas. They will sign an agreement renewing a partnership launched in 2003 by adding new members – including the Consulate General of Peru and the Honorary Consul General of Ecuador – on Wednesday, Jan. 16, at 10 a.m. CST. The partnership seeks to encourage immigrants and non-English speakers to report violations of laws enforced by the Department of Labor and other government agencies in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and north Texas. The partners share information and outreach success stories, as well as provide cross training.
