Outreach and Information Session for Washington International Renewable Energy Conference 2008

Under Secretary of State for Democracy and Global Affairs Dr. Paula Dobriansky will be joined by Under Secretary of Agriculture for Rural Development Thomas C. Dorr and other senior U.S. officials to promote broad stakeholder participation in Washington International Renewable Energy Conference (WIREC) 2008. Under Secretaries Dobriansky and Door will discuss WIREC and answer questions off-camera, on-the-record at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 in room 1107 at the State Department.

Members of the press are also invited to attend an on-camera, on-the-record information and outreach session with senior U.S. government representatives from various federal agencies at approximately 9:00 a.m. in the Loy Henderson Conference Room.

Pick up time for all journalists who wish to attend the media availability with Under Secretaries Dobriansky and Door will be 8:00 a.m. at the 23rd Street entrance of the State Department.

Pick up time for all journalists who wish to attend the information and outreach session is 8:30 a.m. at the 23rd Street entrance of the State Department.

Media representatives may cover this event upon presentation of the following at the 23rd Street Entrance: (1) a U.S. Government-issued media identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver's license or passport).
